Re: Faultiers collection
Nice, I like that old Porsche. It's a long time ago that I've visited your topic, but I missed some beautiful updates! Keep it up that way

Re: Faultiers collection
Well, congrats are in order, both for your position and for this car.
I sold this one a few years ago for a stupendous amount ... I had several UT Porsches in my collection, sold them all for really nice prices, not as much as the McLaren F1 I also had, but still ... allowed me to buy quite a few Raging Bulls instead ... always likes this Porsche actually, as I did the bordeaux metallic Turbo version, two stunning models.

Re: Faultiers collection
I bought this grey UT-model of 993 GT2 also when it was released in 1996 or 1997. It was a model of 25 Euro in that time.
I still have it although the paint (especially the chorme boarders) of the wheels on mine start peeling off. It needs a restoration.
For me the 993 is still the most beautiful 911 Porsche ever build. The 993 GT2 was the absolute top. This was a totally insane Porsche and I like it

No seriously, this just really takes your breath away ... you open the box, shaky hands ... first impression is 'yes, now that's a beauty' ... and then you discover something like this ... which let's be honest, degrades the model completely to being useless and worthless.
I would contact the seller and try to get a replacement ... I wouldn't even bother with a discount, my models have to be near perfect ... and this one isn't.
Re: Faultiers collection
true words my friend.
Exactly my thoughts. - I was soooo excited and then I saw this.....
Yeah I already contacted the seller and asked for a new one and this time he should check it before it leaves his shop.
A discount would not make sense at all because you just can´t ignore or pay off such a tragic mistake.
But hey its friday and the week-end is here.
But still I´m disappointed

Re: Faultiers collection
that sucks. it is still such a beautiful model.
I also have a golf rallye Otto with Paint damages. That was completely new in box. I had not directly by otto, but through a trader. Do you know whether you can get leniency of otto?

Re: Faultiers collection
I bought the M5 online in a normal online-shop so I have all rights to send it back etc.
Thats a fact that makes me calm down.
So I don´t have any worries.
I get either a cool replacement or my money back.
Still would have loved to have a flawless model at first

Yes, perfection ain't always the case with the Otto models....
Mine has a little imperfaction next to the grill and had a damaged front screen. I'll get a replacement window for it luckily, but it's not the first time I receive a model with white glue recedu on a window. Must of the time it's damp and for 98% unvisable after wiping it away with a clean clouth. Something which I have done a few times for some orders from this forum as well...
They also forgot to place the mudflaps on my 2CV...
I wanna end positive, so I'd like to notice that Otto really is becoming better with the after sales. You can get parts now that are missing or damaged
